When you’ve been trying and testing your way to better skin for the better part of 3 years, you accumulate a lot of products you either won’t finish or that are way past their expiration date.
This is my trash bag of products I won’t continue using:
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
This toner has been sitting in the back of my cupboard for over a year. It’s actually half way used up, but this toner I find is way too harsh on my skin. Plus I don’t really like it anymore. I’ve grown to like toners that give more moisture and hydrating to the skin, and have replaced this toner with the KRAVEBEAUTY Kale-Lula-yAHA toner that I only use 2-3 times a week. The COSRX AHA/BHA toner has played it’s part in my skin regimen and I will not repurchase this product.

TONYMOLY Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack
This is also a neglected product in my cupboard that had to go. It is neglected because of the strong scent and the inability to nourish my skin. Also, my skin reacts far too much to strong perfume/scents. I start to itch and then it’s a waste of my money and time! Not gonna repurchase for obvious reasons.

Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream
Frankly, I never saw any effects of this cream. Maybe it’s not tailored for my specific skin concerns. Every time I used it it just pilled off in my sleep. I just forgot about it, and now it’s quite old and ready for the bin. Not going to repurchase.

NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Flower Cleansing Water Calendula
I never really got the hang of cleansing waters. And this one? It lingered on my skin and I felt my face starting to itch every time I used it. It also has a strong flowery scent (well, duh), so I should know by now that products with strong scents (even natural ones) are not for me! Not going to repurchase.

NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea
I actually liked this product, it’s not perfect for my taste – but also not bad. It cleanses well, and is easy to travel with. The one thing I have to say about it is that the product stings my eyes if I use it to cleanse off eye makeup. It’s probably not made for taking off eye make-up though, but that’s how I take off my eye make-up – with oil cleanser!

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum
Another Klairs product. This is very reminiscent of the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner (the scented one). It shares very many similar ingredients. However, I’m not a big fan of that toner (I do however really like the unscented version!) and I think this is why I don’t really care for this serum either. The essential oils and the scent doesn’t work for me. It also sometimes stings my skin if I am particularly sensitive one day. Not going to repurchase.

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist
I used to love this essence! And it worked quite well for me for a couple of bottles, but then I found the COSRX Galactomyes Essence and the Neogen Real Ferment Essence. I tried using the Missha essence after this, but it just wasn’t doing the trick for my skin anymore. I choose to listen to my skin and won’t repurchase this one. This is also one of those formulas that can slightly sting my skin if my skin barrier is compromised.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule
This serum never really did anything for me. It’s also quite sticky/tacky and I don’t like to feel my face being stuck to the pillow when I get into bed. Maybe I used too much? In any case, it’s too old to use up now anyway. Bye bye, not gonna repurchase.

By Wishtrend Pure VitaminC 21.5% Advanced Serum
This is such a good vitamin C serum! The only reason I’m getting rid of it before it’s empty is because it has oxidised. This is normal after it’s been open for 6 months or more. You can see that it has oxidised when it has a yellow/brown-ish color to it. I think I will repurchase this in the future! (When I’m done with my bottle of COSRX Triple C Lightning Serum.)

Mizon Multi Function Formula All In One Snail Repair Cream
I bought this because I read/saw rave reviews about it. But, this wasn’t for me. It’s not hydrating enough for my dry patches and somehow too nourishing for my oily patches?? (With combination sensitive skin, it’s tricky I tell you.) How that came to be I couldn’t tell you. I could probably use this up on other parts of my body, but I feel this jar has been stowed away for far too long now. The product has probably gone bad, and it has become crusty on the sides. Ew. Not repurchasing unfortunately, it’s a shame because I had high hopes for this cream.

Ciracle Red Spot Cream
This product is oooold, probably one of the first kbeauty products I ever purchased! I never got the hang of this one. It’s a spot cream, meant to treat post acne scars. It’s too thick for my liking, and I never liked that it stained my pillow case every damn time I used it. I saw no effects of the cream either. Probably because I hated using it because of it’s consistency. Not going to repurchase!
Ciracle Red Spot Cream Ciracle Red Spot Cream
Phew! That was my whole bag of trash bag of products. I don’t like to throw half empty products away at all, but these were either old or stuff I knew I wouldn’t use again. That’s why I do my research more thoroughly before I buy and commit to new products these days! 🙂
It’s a shame cause alot of the products featured here aren’t exactly cheap, right? But I can relate. I used to often by products that people said were suitable for sensitive skin, when for me personally they did no good. So they got shoved to one side 😕
Like this style of post btw. I don’t think I have seen anyone else do this.

They were not very cheap no, especially those missha products! I’m glad you liked my post, I might do another one in this style if I end up with a lot of unused products again. Hopefully I won’t end up with so many the next time 🙂
